Several Shirts

A friend asked me to make some shirts for newborns and their siblings.

And this is one for my own daughter

The front girlie got a button so that Daddy also knows, what is front and what is back...

Last of the summer...

Outside it's really autumn now, windy and rainy... So I'm now working on some autumn clothes for my two girls. But before, I would still like to show you some of my summer's work:

Cute pirate dress. I used the Hopscotch pattern from Ottobre 3/2012 adapted the sleeves a bit and added the skirt made of jersey scraps.

A birthday shirt for our nephew. Robots from Ottobre 3/2012.

 Leggings for my youngest. Don't remember the pattern, I think I just copied some leggings that were lying around. My older daughter got similar leggings, same material...

A friend of ours recently gave birth to a cute little boy. Since she is Cuban, there had to be some Spanish text on it, so we chose some lines from 'la bamba'.

The placing of the text is a bit chaotic - all intentional of course ;)

The jersey is called 'Take a ride' - the colours are quite strong, but I like it combined like this.

The patterns are from Ottobre, the shirt Nr 7 from 4/2006, the pants are Anis 1/2010 - love this pattern!

Sisters' outfits

I have a new favourite: Karys by Corina from Olilu. Big sister chose the fabrics and since it came out so beautiful, I decided to make exactly the same for the little one. 

And look, how cute she is with her new blouse! Ok, the striped onesy is maybe a bit too much, so just blend that out ;)

I don't have an action foto of both girs yet, but the big sister looks adorable in hers, too!

I really love the pattern, since it is something different, you can use your scraps and combine them with solids or other patterns, it's easy to sew and doesn't really take that long!

Lucky me

I was picked to test a new (still to come, otherwise testing wouldn't make sense) e-book by klimperklein! It's a brilliant tutorial for a babyshirt with American neckline, definitely to be recommended! I always learn something new with these tutorials!

My baby girl has mostly size 74 at the moment and I made size 80, which is still a bit too big but not enormously, I would say. So fitting is fine!

At the last stoffenspektakel, the fabrics market here, I found this gorgeous retro flower knitted velvet. Along with some (still too big) trousers made from the sleeves of an old sweat shirt of mine, it was one of my first projects with my new W6 overlock machine. - And you can see this, there is a weird bend cut out under the left sleeve. It was a last minute project before we went on holidays and I really wanted to take it along, but didn't have lots of time to work it out properly... The pattern was taken from an existing shirt and slightly adapted.
