When I was young I loved to work with clay. So when a friend of mine had it about a pottery atelier just in the neighbourhood where you could follow workshops, I immediately jumped at it!
I tried throwing for a while, but whenever it started to look like a bowl or a pot, it collapsed. With the help of the master I managed to make three bowls (two of which I never collected afterwards).
So in the last hour I decided I really wanted to produce stuff to take home. So I used predried clay sheets to make a vase for my mother and my friend. Both are into ikebana / flowers, so I thought it would make a nice gift. - I still need to take pictures of the vase I made for my mum, but here's already one:

Birthday dress and X-mas skirt for my big girl
Yeah, I know, my attempts to catch up are really slow... Still in December...
A quite spontaneous and quick skirt for Christmas (made from the top of a skirt of mine, the bottom was attached to my Christmas outfit)
The colour is a bit hard to catch, it's actually aubergine, not brown.
Just after Christmas for my daughter's 4th birthday a dress in fuchsia corduroy.
Since my daughter is sucking in stories, enacting and retelling them to herself (or whoever is listening) and she loves fairies, I decided to make it a 'Lesefee' (Reading Fairy) Dress. Actually I think she came up with this herself!
The script is made with the embroidery machine, the fairy I embroidered free-hand with the sewing machine.

Trying to catch up...
Last autumn I made this colourful jacket for our little one. She loves it a lot and it has been difficult in extreme winter to convince her to put on a warmer jacket and in spring / early summer to put on something lighter. I hope it will still fit next autumn!
The pattern is from Ottobre 4/2010, one of my favourite issues.
The flowery material is corduroy I bought on a 'Stoffenspektakel' some time ago and the lining is jersey from Micha's Stoffecke. The cuffs are actually pink.
I also made a matching scarf for her with cotton teddy.
